The Same Word, Different Parts of Speech

Book"I bought a book.""Please book the tickets."
Round"The next round begins.""They round off the number.""A round table."
Fast"He will fast today.""A fast car." (also adverb: "He runs fast.")
Q. Identify the part of speech of the underlined word: "She spoke softly to the child."
"Softly" modifies the verb "spoke," describing HOW she spoke → it is an Adverb.
Q. Identify the part of speech of the underlined word: "Honesty is the best policy."
"Honesty" names an abstract idea/quality → it is a Noun (specifically, an abstract noun).
