Odd Days Concept

  • Odd days = number of days beyond complete weeks in a given period
  • 1 ordinary year (365 days) = 52 weeks + 1 odd day
  • 1 leap year (366 days) = 52 weeks + 2 odd days

Leap Year Rule

A year is a leap year if divisible by 4, EXCEPT century years (ending in 00) which must be divisible by 400 (e.g., 2000 is a leap year, 1900 is not).
